California Globe Article
Funny that people in California, even when they do an awful job, someone end up with more powerful positions and more money. California EDD has been plagued with problems for a year, and yet this woman is being eyed for a potential federal position as the Deputy Secretary of Labor.
California parents are pushing back in a bigger, more organized way than before. Smaller groups from around the state are banding together to push for school openings. I love this idea! Decentralized groups are an excellent way to impact local community, but banding together to take on the state is a great idea.
This alone is absolutely insane: “At the beginning of the claim surge, EDD's call center answered less than 1% of the calls it received.” If this was a Yelp review, it would be 1 star. No one would go here. No one would support them. But we are forced to because it's government. And non one is being held accountable.
